Where: School Bus Stop – Next to the Bench

When: The Guard Hill Free Library will remain open until the first frost, when it closes for the winter.

During the coldest months, the library will “hibernate” to help protect both the books and the library from the winter weather. It will reopen in the spring, ready for another season of sharing and reading.

How Does It Work?

• Browse the collection and/or share a book.

• Take a book that interests you.

• Enjoy your book!

• When you are finished, consider sharing it with someone else in the community or return to the library.

• Please make sure the door is closed securely after using the library to help protect the books from the weather.

Donate

We welcome contributions of books for children, teens, and adults. Our library reflects the diverse interests and reading preferences of our neighbors, including fiction, nonfiction, biographies, graphic novels for kids, and more.

We encourage donations of books that are in good condition and appropriate for a community book swap serving readers of all ages. We recognize that not every book will appeal to every reader, and we ask everyone to respect one another’s choices while parents and guardians guide their own children’s reading selections.

Please do not leave books or large boxes of books at the bench or beside the library. If you have a larger donation, please feel free to drop books off at 3402 Victoria Drive (Rosanne Licata).
